Dear Darling,
Yesterday I was at the fair and I bought you this big pink
Teddy Bear. I‟m a grown man, my faux ego called me stupid,
but a loving spirit is in the air, The Greeks called him Cupid.
I walked all day with that stuffy bear in my arms, endured
friendly ridicule, I‟ve been smitten by your charms.
I want you to keep it close and near, safe in your bed, set it
next to the satin laced pillow, where you rest your head. Pop
the corn and play your girly movies, then grab your bear, I
named him groovy. When you snuggle and pet him, think of
me, I love you so much, my heart is free. In my travels to
Spain, Belize and Japan, don‟t be afraid, Groovy knows
where I am.
I inscribed the words “I Love You” on his chest, and then
sprayed him with my cologne, please sniff, ingest. I thought
he was cute with silly and cotton stuffed ears, I hope you
will keep him for years and years. Black buttoned eyes, cloth
ragged nose and the stitches are perfect making his toes. I
stuffed him with love and paid quite a price, for when it‟s
done with love you don‟t think twice. You are my first love
and it‟s your pure love I miss, so I won‟t be jealous if Groovy
gets a kiss. Everyday with you is like being at that fair, you
