Millis High School Announces
National Merit Commended Students
Millis High School principal,
Robert Mullaney, announced today
that Vivian Hurwitz and
Caroline Lebak have been recognized
as Commended Students
by the National Merit
Scholarship Corporation. Commended
Students placed among the
top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.6
million students who took the 2017
PSAT exam, placing them in the top
3% of all test takers.

Vivian Hurwitz is the daughter
of Ken and Katie Hurwitz of
Millis. She is a drum major in the
pep band, plays in the school’s jazz
ensemble, and is involved in Millis
High School Big Sisters and Youth
and Government. She is also a
member of the swim team and Destination
Imagination.
Caroline Lebak is the daughter
of James and Jane Lebak of Millis.
She is a member of the school’s
newspaper, The Mohawk Post, as
well as Chem Club and Common
Ground.

Personalized tours are now
available for the Children’s Center
at Dean College. Parents of
children ages 2.9 through 6 years
old are encouraged to bring their
child to explore the school and
learn about our program.
Applications are being accepted
for 5-day morning, 2-day
morning, 3-day morning preschool
program or 5-day afternoon
Pre-K program. We also
offer a full-day option (8:30 a.m.
– 3:15 p.m.) for 4-6-year-olds
who will be transitioning to a kindergarten
program the following
year.

Medway Pride Day will be
celebrating its 25th year and
is looking for volunteers to assist
in planning this community
event. The Committee works
in collaboration with Town Departments.
The first meeting
will be held on November 28th
from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Medway
Public Library’s Conference
Room. Most of the committee’s
work is done independently and
does not require many in person
meetings. If you are interested,

Center is a lab school for ECE
majors, with teachers-in-training
alongside credentialed teachers.
