FOUR
great
seasons
TO LOVE IT HERE
There is breathtaking beauty to
behold in Wisconsin’s four seasons. From
cooling off at Lake Michigan in the summer
to gliding through a lighted forest on skis
at night, there are plenty of ways to enjoy
every season in Sheboygan County.
The Beauty of Winter
The winters can seem long and
cold, but the best thing you can do is to

love. And that’s where you’re in luck. For
downhill ski and snowboard enthusiasts,
there are several ski hills within an hour’s
drive. For cross-country skiing, there are
trails in parks and golf courses throughout
the county. The classic and skate ski trails
in the Kettle Moraine State Forest in
Greenbush are excellent with loops ranging

after-work skis, you can turn on lights for
one loop. There are snowshoeing trails and
a sledding hill here and in numerous other
locations in the county.
Other popular cold-weather
activities include ice skating, sledding

Old Plank Trail is open to snowmobiles,
and the county trails that cross the
Sheboygan Marsh connect with a 228-mile
countywide trail system.
Throughout winter there are events
that make spirits bright. From Schnee Days
in Elkhart Lake to Main Street Memories
in Sheboygan Falls to annual Christmas
parades in many communities during the
holiday season, people here enjoy all that
winter has to offer.
A Salute to Spring
When spring arrives, we celebrate

jackets come off and the shorts come on. The
sun warms the earth, coaxing out daffodils,
crocuses, tulips and dandelions. Green

see bicyclists again and hear Harleys revving.
Fishing season begins once again on
rivers, streams and inland lakes. Our lakes
are full of bass, bluegills, perch, walleye,
crappies and northern.
