There are many child care
and pre-school options available
your needs, your schedule and your
budget. The Child Care Resource &
Referral Center, based in Kimberly,
Wisconsin, provides parents and
guardians with information on all
licensed day care in Sheboygan County.
The Family Resource Center
in Plymouth is a “Parents as Teachers”
for Youth coalition for healthy living and
the Sheboygan County Literacy Council.
Family Connections, Inc.
is a local Child Care Resource &
Referral agency that strives to increase
the availability and accessibility of child
care programs, promote recognition
of childcare issues and encourage
development.
There are many pre-school
options including 3K and 4K.
Check with your community school
district, local YMCAs, Generations
in Plymouth and the John Michael
Kohler Arts Center.
Pet Care
If you have a canine pal, there are
a number of dog parks where you can play
and socialize.
Sheboygan Dog Run is 10-acre
fenced-in dog run in Sheboygan funded by
donations. It allows owners to let dogs off
their leash under voice control. It’s a great
place to socialize your dog and let them
stretch their legs safely. Sheboygan Falls
Bark Park is a 1-acre park located within
Rochester Park. There’s also a dog park in
Plymouth in the downtown business district
along the Mullet River. The north side of
Kohler-Andrae State Park has dog-friendly
access on trails and even on the beach.
If you’re looking for a place to
keep your large pets, Sheboygan County
has horse boarding, large animal clinics
and even hobby farms to keep your pets
happy and healthy.
