The Outdoor Program team has
been hard at work at bringing all new,
exciting partners to Girl Scouts!
All of the following have been thoroughly vetted and are new
approved Outdoor Vendors. Girl Scouts can feel confident visiting
these partners with their family or with other Girl Scouts as a troop.
Winter Club Indoor Ski & Snowboard
The Girl Scouts of Citrus will be partnering with Winter Club Indoor Ski
& Snowboard to provide girls with the opportunity to enjoy activities
that Florida’s weather cannot offer. The ski center features two indoor
ski slopes along with an interactive panoramic ski stimulator.
Canyons Zip Line & Canopy Tours
The Girl Scouts of Citrus has partnered with Canyons Zip Line &
Canopy Tours in Ocala to offer a wide array of outdoor adventures.
Girl Scouts will be able to go kayaking, horseback ridingw and zip
lining at this breathtaking venue. All while working towards range of
outdoor badges for each Girl Scout level.
Bok Tower Gardens
Girl Scouts of Citrus is proud to announce a new partnership with
the Bok Tower Gardens, a national historic landmark. Not only will
Girl Scouts be able to enjoy breathtaking views, but they will also
be able to experience some of the best pristine experiences nature
can provide. Girl Scouts can visit anytime as the venue is open 365
days, and get a jump start on earning some of the new Outdoor Eco
badges recently released.
Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures
Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures provides exciting and safe
educational airboat rides filled with suprises. The company uses U.S.
Coast Guard Inspected 17 passenger airboats to take guests on an
adventure. The boat will be speeding across the water at 45 mph.
Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures will be able to offer Girl Scouts an
array of Outdoor Badge programs and a chance to earn some cultural
patches, like the Native American Patch. Stay tuned for more details!
