Mission To offer Alternative Youth Sports programming for those who are ineligible to participate in their home school sports programs for academic and/or other eligibility issues. Organization Summary The All-Sports Ministry will be an evidence-based program initially designed and implemented by The Advocacy Foundation, but subsequently owned in partnership with local communities. Moreover, the Ministry will serve as a Catalyst initiative with the overarching objective of reinforcing and augmenting pre-existing and newly developed & incubated Community-Based neighborhood Youth programs, state and local JDAI initiatives, Faith-Based initiatives, and Restorative & Transformative Justice initiatives from all sources. Sports Activities The All-Sports Ministry will offer, but by no means be limited to, the following Sports throughout the year: Aerobics and Physical Conditioning Basketball Volleyball Golf Boxing Nutrition Counseling Other activities per periodic Needs and Community Developmental Assessments Strategy and Implementation Summary 9 It is critical that The All-Sports Ministry takes a proactive role in promoting the Sports programming in the community as well as creating a strong fundraising program. To accomplish its goals, The All-Sports Ministry will have two groups overseeing to program’s growth and development. The first will be a 12-member Program Services Group, consisting of community members. (I forget the name Acelero assigns to this group) This group will provide oversight of the program’s service delivery to the community and will also be responsible for building community support. The second group will be a ten (10) Member Finance Group that will have significant ties to the local Business community. The Finance Group will have oversight over the program’s fiscal operations and Fundraising activities. The next step will be to recruit the coaching staff and Facility Supervisors for each season and use this group to promote the program at local schools, churches, etc. 9 Our strategy is grounded in the following in-kind contributions from our Public/Private partnerships, as well as cash donation solicitations set forth on the pages that follow: 1. Equipment: Faith-Based organizations (Churches); 2. Facilities: City & County School Districts, Recreation Facilities, etc. 3. Personnel: Police, Fire, Teachers, Community Leaders, etc. Page 17 of 45
