On Sunday 14th October<br />
I was invited to help out<br />
with Messy <strong>Church</strong> at the<br />
Faithspace Centre. This was<br />
a wonderful experience<br />
and I was delighted to be<br />
asked along. The activities<br />
were very creative and fun.<br />
Moreover, I had the great<br />
pleasure of meeting people<br />
of all ages from the local<br />
community — one of the<br />
older ladies was very keen<br />
to help out with our Sunday<br />
School and I look forward<br />
to having her on board. I<br />
firmly believe that intergenerational<br />
learning has<br />
multiple benefits for both<br />
older and younger people;<br />
in my job as an Early Years<br />
Teacher we are embarking<br />
on a project in which<br />
will be opening our doors<br />
to the elderly members of<br />
our community. I extend<br />
this invitation to Sunday<br />
School: we are all children<br />
of God, and all children<br />
are welcome to my Sunday<br />
School.<br />
We ended the month of<br />
October in style. Our much<br />
anticipated backpacking<br />
session for <strong>Mary</strong>’s Meals<br />
was a great success: in total,<br />
we had ninety backpacks,
