Did you know Rotorua is one of the cheapest places
in New Zealand to buy petrol? Unlike Auckland
with it’s additional fuel tax added to the already
Nationally taxed fuel price, Rotorua somehow
manages up to 30 cents cheaper fuel per litre than
other cities and towns in New Zealand. We are
fortunate to have heavy competition between Gull
and Mobil which helps to keep prices lower.
Hot mineral waters
Rotorua is known as The Spa Capital of the South
Pacific. This is due to Rotorua having several thermal
pool complexes, like the Polynesian Spa, Waikete Valley
Hot Pools and Hells Gate Mud Spa. As well as these
commercial hot pools, Rotorua has several natural
places you can enjoy our thermal waters for free.
Great restaurants
Rotorua has no shortage of great restaurants to
suit all budgets and tastes. Rotorua, being a tourist
town, caters for all nationalities, so we have plenty
of ethnic restaurants as well as casual European
and fine dining establishments.
Location, Location, Location
Rotorua is geographically positioned very well to use
as a base for day trips to explore other nearby regions.
We are just 1 hour to Tauranga, 1 hour to Taupo, 1 hour
to Hobbition (Matamata) or 1.25 hours to Hamilton. q
