The current Waterloo is being gentrified with
new mixed used developments, demolition of
social housings (S) to make way for new ones, a
masterplan to renew the entire Dank street South
precinct has already been planned out including
new residential towers.
The current site that will be kept in the future
masterplan will be the heritage sites (H) such as
the Water pumping station, 222 Young street and
241 Young street.
The site provides the perfect opportunity to target
the demographics of the elderly especially at a time
where the government is forcing residents out of
their current social housing and the rising aging
population in accordance to the scenario of the age
care crisis.
