Some of the most popular
New Year Resolutions include:
According to a study compiled by blogger, author
and translator Michele Hutchison, New Year’s
Resolutions tend to fail due to unrealistic goals
• Quitting smoking
• Losing weight
• Exercising more
• Drinking less
• Taking on a new hobby
• Eating healthier
• Thinking positively
• Stressing less
• Praying more, etc.
(35%), neglecting to keep track (33%) and merely
forgetfulness (23%).
Here are some tips to make this year’s goals stick:
Keep it simple: When it comes to goals, less is more. Having too many goals can be
too overwhelming all at once, which could be hard to follow.
Be realistic: “Never eat chocolate again,” and any other drastic and unrealistic goal,
has a very poor success rate. While going “cold turkey” might work for some, others
need to face the facts in order to make a goal last.
