JUNIOR
Council
The Junior Council is made up of four students from each year eight class, a head boy and head girl plus two deputies. The head boy
and head girl meet every Friday to discuss issues that come up in their class meetings. The main issues that we have discussed are
uniform, whanau, bell times, rubbish and cell phones. Part of our meeting is dedicated to Health & Safety and making Mount Aspiring
College a better place for all of the students. We also arrange challenges between classes for the Year 8 Shield, like the singing and
dancing competition held in term four. The council is holding a formal(ish) social evening to support fundraising for a trip to Nepal
next year. Mrs Watson-Taylor would like to thank the junior council for their consistent effort and contributions; they are an amazing
group of Year 8 students.
