Spain Trip
San Sebastian was a brilliant way to finish
off an amazing holiday. We spent our days
surfing at one of the many beaches, taking
language classes, eating ice cream and
embracing the Spanish way of life.
Tamariu is a funky little town surrounded by green
hillsides and a luscious beach front. The town has
delicious seafood and huge paella. Tamariu is the
perfect place to chill on a rooftop, go for a swim,
jump off the diving board, eat and repeat. After
all this relaxing you can go for a walk along the
beach fronts under all the amazing plants that
grow from the mountains.
Pamplona is most famous for the annual event, Running of the Bulls, in which
the whole population of the city and foreigners come to watch or take part. The
beautiful city has so much character, from the colourful buildings to friendly
people (like our tour guide).
Montserrat is a beautiful little town up in the
mountains. It is a religious wee place with a stunning
church, gift shops, food, post office and hotel. You
take a yellow cable car up to reach this hidden
pueblo. Once there you can take two different
funiculars either up or down the mountain to different
walking tracks, which circle the mountain, exploring
the spectacular views it has to offer.
Barcelona is an amazing city filled with beauty, history and vibrant life. It was an
awesome introduction to Spain’s culture. Everywhere you turn there is another beautiful
building or a flower-filled terrace. We explored the city and got to see Park Güell, Mount
Tibidabo, an epic game of fútbol in Camp Nou and La Mercè street festival.
Mallorca - an incredible little island rich with history. We took a tourist
bus, toured the Cuevas de Drac and visited the picturesque Cabrera
National Park where we swam in the magical Blue Cave.
