Before and After Camp Time provides a range of fun
activities to keep your child safe and active!!
SWIMMING
Children enjoy a recreational swim period each day (except
some field trip days), weather permitting. Trained Y
lifeguards conduct swim tests for all campers prior to
swimming each Monday. Pathfinders, Trailblazers and
Woodsy´s Pals (ages 3-10) also receive one swim lesson
a day. The YMCA´s focus is on keeping all our children safe.

Ages 3-6 and 7-12, Noon-1 pm
Monday through Friday
Weekly, May 28-August 16 (no camp July 4)
For children who need an extra hour between morning and
afternoon. Children ages 3-6 eat separately from older
kids. Lunch is NOT provided. Free for children enrolled
in BOTH half day morning and afternoon sessions and no
registration required. Campers enrolled in only a morning
or afternoon camp must be registered for each week.

This camp features two adventure packed off-campus day
trips. While at the YMCA, the camp day consists of swimming, sports

This camp is a stepping stone to becoming a camp counselor. Teens
are engaged through team-building activities, leading community
outreach efforts and creating their own service learning project while
led by our experienced staff. Teens shadow different groups to develop
management skills and acquire camp experience working with children
of different ages. Applicants must schedule an interview with the camp
director prior to registration. This program is highly selective! If this
camp is successfully completed, it may lead to a counselor position when
the camper is of the proper age! Swimming included.

about feudal times, castle intricacies and participate in our archery and
jousting tournaments. We celebrate all our victories at the grand feast.

The Camp UMLY Justice League is recruiting new superheroes. Do you have
what it takes? Come to our state-of-the-art superhero academy where we
research the science behind superpowers. We design and craft our own
brand-new superhero identities. Once the training ends, we work together
to defeat some of the most infamous super villains known to mankind!

Howdy partner! Head west along the Oregon Trail in your finest duds and

Welcome to Hogwarts Academy at UMLY! Campers are enrolled in a
week of the wizarding world where their group will be sorted and placed
into one of the four houses. Their class schedule includes potions, care
of magical creatures and games on the Quidditch field. Learn how these
subjects truly connect with the Muggle world. Challenges also await
because “you know who” and his followers will be lurking about.
Pirates of UMLY, July 22-26 and July 29-August 2
Prepare to set sail on this pirate adventure. Unfurl the sails and raise
the Jolly Roger as we take to the high seas in search of adventure, glory
and hidden treasure. Follow the mysterious clues on the map while we
chart a course for the most fun you will have all year. Along the way we
learn all about pirate myths, traditions and secrets.
Star Wars Jedi Training Academy, August 5-9 and August 12-16
On the far side of the universe on the third planet from the sun is an
event known for training Jedi and battling the empire. Wear your Jedi
cloak and train like Luke Skywalker (climbing, light saber techniques and
quests to save friends, escape the Death Star or find Obi Wan Kenobi’s
home). Group meetings become Jedi debriefings, where campers discuss
how they worked as a team and what is needed to make them stronger
for the next challenge. Closing stage becomes a Jedi graduation.

Earth Service Corps is a national Y program for teens with a focus on
environmental service learning projects. Teens are engaged with hands-on
projects that develop teamwork skills, while learning to use various tools,

This fun, high energy camp focuses on developing a love of tennis and making
friends. Rookies work on concentration, problem-solving, self-confidence
and good sportsmanship, developing basic skills of movement, agility, dynamic
balance, complex coordination, linear speed, speed of coordination, strength,
flexibility and footwork. Children are introduced to:
• Handling a racquet, forehand and backhand (movement, stance, grip, shape of swing)

REGISTRATION POLICIES
• A YMCA membership is not required to
register for camp. However, those who
maintain a YMCA membership at the time
of registration through the end of a camp
session receive member rates. If the YMCA
membership is not maintained during this
period, the fee will be adjusted to the
non-member rate. No changes to fees will
be made if a YMCA membership has been
started after the camp registration has
been processed.
• Registration for each camp week must
be submitted by 10 pm the previous
Wednesday. Late registration will ONLY be
accepted the previous Thursday or Friday
with a late fee of $50 applied. Any camp
registration change made after the initial
registration will result in a $25 change fee.
• A camp deposit of $35 per child per week
is due at the time of registration. Deposits
are non-refundable and non-transferable
and are subtracted from your weekly rate.
The remaining balance will be processed
two Sundays prior to the camp start date.
Payments must be made through weekly
automated draft or in-full at time of
registration. Camp payments are not able
to be split between two or more payers.
• Any camp cancellations less than one week
prior to the camp start date will result in
a $50 cancellation fee.
• No refunds are available after the start
of a camp week.
• Families who receive CCW funding are
required to pay a $10 per camper per week
fee in addition to their weekly copay.
• Families with two or more children signing
up for the same camp week receive 10%
off the lowest weekly fee (restrictions
apply). Discount can only be applied
during onsite registration. Discount is
not able to be combined with financial
assistance and/or staff discounts.

at the Upper Main Line YMCA.
If you are going to be late
picking up your child, please

pick-up person arrive by 6 pm
or call the Y to inform staff.
Campers who are repeatedly
picked up late from extended
care may lose access to the
program and parents will
be required to pick up their
child(ren) at the end of the
regular camp day.
