Youth Basketball: Ages 7/8 Girls Saturday Y member rate: $85 Y non-member rate: $120 This recreational youth league focuses on continuing the development of basic basketball skills, team work and sportsmanship for girls of every ability. While advancing the participants? skills in dribbling, passing and shooting, volunteer coaches also lead basketball practice drills and teach game strategies. There is one practice during the week and one game on Saturday or Sunday. A shirt and end of season participation award is included with registration. Open to boys of all abilities, volunteer coaches lead basketball practice drills and offensive and defensive plays with an emphasis on having fun. Dance / Arts and Learning Ballet 1 Saturday Y member rate: $38/month Y non-member rate: $76/month While working to achieve the strict technique of ballet, students will also learn ballet terminology, movements, and the five arm/feet positions. Students will start each class at the barre doing exercises to achieve ballet technique. Then we will move onto working on ballet combinations in the center and across the floor. The class will also work on flexibility, as well as strength. Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers required. A holiday and spring recital will be held. Information on recitals and costume fees will be emailed to parents. Monthly payment plan is available.
