The congregation responded
by reading these words;
I see it like this, every person is important and
precious to God – every person matters to God –
therefore, they matter to us – all people matter to
The Salvation Army. We want to see all people reach
their full potential and discover how much God loves
them. That is why The Salvation Army does what it
does……
God helping us, we pledge
our allegiance to Christ and
the work of His Kingdom
through The Salvation Army.
Every one matters to God – therefore every one
matters and we here at The Salvation Army all have
a part to play in loving and serving God and loving
and serving people.
We promise to prayerfully
support our Officers in every
And………. Let us not forget the children…… Jesus
never forgot the children…… He said, “Let them
come to me…
win people to the Lord and
make disciples to the praise
and glory of God.
Along with Envoys Andrea and Daniel we welcome
their children.
Children are such an important part of our
congregation. Children were precious in Jesus’ sight
too and they should be in ours also. Show me a
Church with no children and you will more than likely
see a church that is dying.
way and with them, seek to
Having ministered for 14 years at Golden Grove in South Australia, our
congregation learnt never to complain or grizzle about the many
children in our fellowship. Yes, they can be a little disruptive at times,
yes sometimes they do run about and yes sometimes they do make a bit
of noise. But better to have them in our Church than not have any
children at all. Better that they learn now that they are accepted and
loved and that it is OK to have fun in Church.
Sad to say, that there are a lot of grown up children who never come to
church anymore because someone discouraged them when younger for
making a noise.
So………. Let us welcome these new children and indeed all children
into our midst – they are precious to Jesus and therefore precious (each
and every one of them) to all of us in our church congregation. Let us
also seek to support and encourage them and pray for them as we have
promised to do so for our new Officers also. They say it takes a village to
raise a child – I believe children benefit greatly from belonging to a great
Church congregation.
Why not give us a try at either Ballarat or Delacombe – you and your
children will be made most welcome. Sunday services are each Sunday
at 10 am.
