Behind Our Hymns."<br />
The story of the African<br />
American journey told entirely<br />
through music. The program<br />
objective is to demonstrate<br />
that African American music<br />
is not simply a form of<br />
entertainment, but a strategic<br />
and calculated vehicle that<br />
drives the <strong>Black</strong> Community<br />
forward. From the battle<br />
drum of Queen Nzinga of<br />
Angola in 1580 to Tupac<br />
Shakur's Makaveli in 1996,<br />
music has lead black people<br />
thus far on our way.<br />
