The Laukhuf PTA is<br />
sponsoring a Louisville<br />
<strong>History</strong> Interactive Museum<br />
from the Louisville Children's<br />
Museum<br />
February 13-14.<br />
Layne Elementary<br />
School<br />
Layne Elementary will each have<br />
daily lessons that will teach our<br />
students about relevant African-<br />
Americans that made a<br />
significant impact in United<br />
States American <strong>History</strong>.<br />
Additionally, the school has<br />
created an activity similar to the<br />
popular game of Jeopardy that<br />
the students will play learning<br />
about <strong>Black</strong> <strong>History</strong> facts both<br />
(past, and present) from different<br />
genres of time. Each month the<br />
Girls Empowerment Group at<br />
Layne has an educated woman<br />
of color to speak at their monthly<br />
gatherings. For the month of<br />
February the guest speaker will<br />
be Mrs. Tenesha Blakey<br />
Marshall.<br />
