Elementary School<br />

5th graders will begin our unit on<br />

slavery in the United States and<br />

the Civil War. During this social<br />

studies unit, students will study the<br />

impact of slavery on the United<br />

States and make connections to<br />

current racial inequalities today.<br />

Students will use textbooks,<br />

primary sources, video clips,<br />

written reflections and more.<br />
