Dear Parents:
Superintendent News
By Dr. Joseph Beeson
As I was reading a book titled The Life God Rewards, the importance of our treasure leaped into my mind. What is your
greatest treasure? I would venture to say most of you would say, “family or spouse, or children.” I think that idea is the
first that comes to mind. My concern with so many families is that even though they would say “children,” their actions do
not confirm that. Rather, their actions would say, “work, sports activities, or hobbies.” I challenge each one to remember
the idea that love is often best spelled “time.” Spend time with your children. Show them you love them. You have shown
you value them as treasure by assuring they are sitting under godly teachers during the school day, now recommit to
spend time with them when they are not at school.
Preschool - 6 th Grade Information
By Mrs. Stock
Dear Families,
I was so very privileged to watch our students take part in the Matthew 25 challenge this past week. The insight they
gained into the plight of children in other countries was priceless. My prayer is that their hearts would continue to
reflect a desire to serve others sacrificially!
If your family would like to continue the relationship with the child on their lanyard please have them bring the
prayer card in to either their teacher or myself so we can get your sponsorship set up.
A few reminders
• This Friday is an early dismissal due to ACSI Speech Meet. Lunch will not be served. After care is available for
those who are in need.
• Friday, March 1 st is Dr. Seuss day! Please see class newsletters for more information.
Some things to remember when requesting courses:
CAFETERIA NEWS:
There are five components to a reimbursable meal: Meat, Bread, Milk, Fruit, Vegetable. A student has to take
three of the five to make a meal. No one has to take a milk at lunch.
However, if they choose not to have a milk, they must pay for the
water, if they get it. Under USDA there are no substitutions for
milk unless a child has a life threatening allergy with written documentation
from a physician. Students may also just purchase ala
carte items. Elementary may have (1) fruit and (1) vegetable with
their lunch. 7-12 may have (2) fruits and (2) vegetables with their
lunch. Grades 5-12 may choose from main dish, pizza, chicken patty, hamburger, cheeseburger, chef salad, or
deli sandwich, or pb&j. PK-4 can have main dish, hot dog, pb&j or chef salad.
Lake Center Christian School is in need of custodians
to clean classrooms Monday through Friday evenings
for 2 to 4 hours each day. We also have openings for
After-School Care Coordinator, Elementary/Junior
High Spanish Teacher, (PT), and Orchestral Music
Instructor. Please submit a Classified Application or a
Certified application found on our website and submit
to csommers@lccs.com
