volunteering for<br />

Heartstart (a British<br />

Heart Foundation<br />

initiative) teaching<br />

basic Emergency Life Support to just<br />

over 1,500 people in the Community,<br />

Heartstart <strong>Gryffe</strong> has decided to<br />

retire.<br />

We thank the community and<br />

organisations for all their support. We<br />

have enjoyed meeting such a variety<br />

of people.<br />

Any monies from donations remaining<br />

in our account will be divided between<br />

BHF and the Heartstart scheme.<br />

FAMILY CEILIDH<br />

A Family Ceilidh will take place<br />

in the Village Hall on Saturday<br />

16th<br />

<strong>March</strong> with local<br />

band Clamjamfrie.<br />

The start time is 6pm and tickets are priced at £7 for adults, £3 for children (age<br />

5-18) and under 5’s go free. Tickets are available in advance by telephoning<br />

Ruth on 07875 565648 or by e-mailing: brookfi eldvpa@gmail.com There will be<br />

a licensed bar and a raffl e.<br />

Don’t worry if you don’t know the difference between a Dashing White Sergeant<br />

and a Strip the Willow - all the dances will be explained by the band’s expert<br />

dance caller so everyone can participate and have a good time.<br />

So whether you’ve got two left feet or you’re a keen dancer, come along on<br />

Saturday 16th <strong>March</strong> and bring your family and friends for an evening of whirling<br />

and birling!<br />

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING<br />

The Annual General Meeting of Brookfi eld Village Council will be held on Friday<br />

22nd <strong>March</strong> at 7.30pm in the Village Hall followed by Cheese & Wine.<br />

ART CLUB SHOW<br />

Brookfi eld Art Club will hold their Annual Show<br />

on Sunday 24th <strong>March</strong> from 12noon - 4.30 pm.<br />

Admission is £1 and there will be a tea room with<br />

home baking.<br />

QUIZ NIGHT<br />

Get together with your brainiest family members,<br />

friends and/or neighbours and come along to the<br />

Quiz Night in the Village Hall on Saturday 27th<br />

April! Who will reign supreme this year - can the<br />

German Wire-haired Pointer by Joanna B.Geddes<br />

Brass Necks retain their crown? As before, there<br />

will also be a chance to have a punt on a porker<br />

with the added attraction of Pig Racing! Doors/bar from 7pm with the quiz<br />

starting at 7.30pm. Admission £3 per person. Max 6 per team. Please email:<br />
