Running Deer was noticeably shaken by his father’s<br />
words, his lips quivering and mind racing, conjuring up<br />
all sorts of horrible events and the possibility of dying<br />
alone in the woods, for what? Fear coursed through<br />
his veins, every imaginable fear, fear of the wild, fear<br />
of hungry animals, fear of being alone, but mostly fear<br />
of dying, never to see his family again.<br />
“Fear can stop you in your tracks or catapult you to<br />
a powerful place my son,” the Chief expounded<br />
intuitively, “Which will you choose?”<br />
Immediately Running Deer recalled the story of the<br />
two wolves that live within us all, told around the<br />
campfire, one starry night by his grandfather. <strong>The</strong><br />
