Heart Disease and Stroke
Major Topic at Go Red
for Women Luncheon
Go Red for Women is the American
Heart Association’s national movement
to end heart disease and stroke in
women. Go Red for Women luncheons
are held annually all over the country in
February, and the one in Orange
County, at Hotel Irvine, saw 400
women gather to raise awareness of
the leading cause of death in women,
cardiovascular disease.
The crowd-pleasing “purse-onality”
auction continued its popularity.

All for a Good Cause
Beauty in Grace, Saddleback Medical Center Foundation’s women’s
giving circle, held its third annual luncheon at Shady Canyon Golf Club.
They were celebrating the membership gifts, which raised $74,000 to
purchase cryoablation equipment for treatment in select early stage
cancers and a blanket warmer for MemorialCare Breast Center at
