farm their 40 hectares of family<br />

vineyards around Laguardia<br />

and Labastida in Rioja Alavesa.<br />

The winery, established in 2006,<br />

produces a small number of<br />

cases each year. Their Crianza<br />

2016 has a dominant oak<br />

character with spicy coconut<br />

aromas laid over a red fruit<br />

and floral background. It is<br />

light on the palate with more<br />

red fruit and bitter liquorice<br />

flavours emerging, ending with<br />

a rustic chewy finish. Produced<br />

from 100% Tempranillo, it was<br />

matured in oak for 14 months.<br />
