Dutchman Louis Geirnaerdt arrived in Spain more than thirty
years ago as a geologist and completed his PhD in the foothills of
Somontano. Since then, Louis has worked for and with a number
of wine producers, developed a passion for Garnacha, and built his
own winery, Bodem, in Cariñena.

La Mirada al Sur Blanco is produced from
grapes grown on old Macabeo vines 50 to
100 years in age, planted in the mountains of
Calatayud in northern Spain. Pale in colour,
it has an intense aroma of fresh pears which
jumps out of the glass. It is soft and easydrinking
with more stone fruit flavours,
apples and pears combined with some
minerality on the finish.
