Page 32 Medway & Millis Local Town Pages www.localtownpages.com April 2019 Charles River Bank Offers Homebuyer Assistance with FHL Bank Boston Program Charles River Bank has been selected to participate in the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Equity Builder Program, which assists local homebuyers with down-payment and closing costs as well as homebuyer counseling and rehabilitation assistance. The $3.6 million program provides grants to financial institutions to assist households at or below 80 percent of the county median income. For example, in Norfolk County, the median income limit for one person is $56,800 and $64,900 for two people. Borrowers are eligible to receive up to $15,000 in assistance on a first come first serve basis. Buyers must also complete a homebuyer counseling program. Rain Barrel Order/ Registration for Medway Residents The Town of Medway is offering rain barrels at a cost of $35 each to any interested Medway resident. In addition to the rain barrels, there will be downspout diverters available to purchase at $17 each. A Downspout Diverter is an attachment for your rain gutter that can be attached permanently (year round) due to its ability to be in the “open” position during the warmer seasons and the “closed” position during the winter season. Payment is due at the time you place your order. Distribution is tentatively scheduled for May 4, 2019, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Medway Recycle Center located at 46 Broad Street.
