<strong>Volume</strong> <strong>Profile</strong><br />
Price usually makes quite strong reactions to POC levels. However, in my trading, I don't trade<br />
POCs blindly. I combine information I get from Price Action with information the <strong>Volume</strong><br />
<strong>Profile</strong> provides. This combination gives me the perfect market overview I need for my<br />
analysis.<br />
Apart from POC’s, I also look for other heavy volume areas. They work more or less the same<br />
way as POC‘s do. The logic is the same: big volumes = big players.<br />
<strong>Volume</strong> <strong>Profile</strong>: Different profiles and their application<br />
In this place, I would like to show you some of the most common shapes the <strong>Volume</strong> <strong>Profile</strong><br />
histogram can form. I will also give you some basic information about each shape and the most<br />
significant places to look for in each profile shape. There are four basic shapes the <strong>Volume</strong><br />
<strong>Profile</strong> can form.<br />
“D-profile“<br />
The most common and well known is the D-profile. Its shape is similar to a letter "D." It is<br />
formed when the market is "balanced.“ This means that buyers and sellers found temporary<br />
