Turkish Cargo rose to the 7th top<br />

spot in the World Air Cargo Data<br />

(WACD) with 9.6 percent volume<br />

growth in February despite a<br />

slowdown in the global air cargo<br />

industry.<br />

market, Turkish Cargo will be one of<br />

the top five air cargo brands in the<br />

Turkish Cargo increased its<br />

market share in terms of sold<br />

tonnage by 0.6 percent in the first<br />

two months of the year, reaching a<br />

4.3 percent growth rate while<br />

increasing its cumulative market<br />

share by 0.4 points to 4.1 percent,<br />

the company said.<br />

Its dual hubs will enable it to<br />

handle as much as 4 million tons of<br />

cargo a year with the new cargo<br />

terminal having 300,000-sqm of<br />

indoor space.<br />

Gerry's dnata obtains ISAGO Station Accreditation<br />

KARACHI: Gerry's dnata, the<br />

leading ground services provider in<br />

Pakistan, has obtained its IATA Safety<br />

Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO)<br />

State Accreditation at Karachi<br />

International Airport following<br />

successful completion of ISAGO<br />

audits.<br />

Gerry's Group and dnata, one of the<br />

world's largest air services providers,<br />

joined hands in 1993 to provide<br />

ground handling services at Karachi<br />

Airport.<br />

Since then, the joint venture has<br />

continually expanded its operations<br />

in the country and today serves 11<br />

airline customers at seven Pakistani<br />

airports. Gerry's dnata's 2,500<br />

dedicated employees assist over 4.5<br />

million passengers and handle<br />

130,000 tons of cargo annually.<br />
