Turkish Cargo expects more growth with dual hubs

Turkish Cargo rose to the 7th top
spot in the World Air Cargo Data
(WACD) with 9.6 percent volume
growth in February despite a
slowdown in the global air cargo
industry.

success,” the chairman said.
Turkish Cargo increased its
market share in terms of sold
tonnage by 0.6 percent in the first
two months of the year, reaching a
4.3 percent growth rate while
increasing its cumulative market
share by 0.4 points to 4.1 percent,
the company said.
Its dual hubs will enable it to
handle as much as 4 million tons of
cargo a year with the new cargo
terminal having 300,000-sqm of
indoor space.

Gerry's dnata obtains ISAGO Station Accreditation
KARACHI: Gerry's dnata, the
leading ground services provider in
Pakistan, has obtained its IATA Safety
Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO)
State Accreditation at Karachi
International Airport following
successful completion of ISAGO
audits.
Gerry's Group and dnata, one of the
world's largest air services providers,
joined hands in 1993 to provide
ground handling services at Karachi
Airport.
Since then, the joint venture has
continually expanded its operations
in the country and today serves 11
airline customers at seven Pakistani
airports. Gerry's dnata's 2,500
dedicated employees assist over 4.5
million passengers and handle
130,000 tons of cargo annually.
