Splash Park Opening<br />
Day is Saturday, May 25,<br />
at Commissioners Park,<br />
located at the intersection<br />
of Sauk Trail and 80th<br />
Avenue. Free admission<br />
opening weekend. Splash<br />
Park Party Rentals are<br />
available.<br />

Day Camp. Fort<br />
Frankfort Adventures is<br />
for children in first-fifth<br />
grades. This full-day camp<br />
runs weekly, Monday-<br />
Friday, June 10-August 2.<br />
Before and after camp options<br />
are available. Register<br />
for the entire camp or<br />
per week. Save 10 percent<br />
when registering for all<br />
eight weeks.<br />
Teen Adventures Field<br />
Trips is for youth entering<br />
sixth-eighth grades and<br />
runs Monday-Friday for<br />
two week sessions: Session<br />
I is June 17-28, and<br />
Session II is July 8-19.<br />
Register for the 19th Annual<br />
Short Run on a Long<br />
Day, held on June 19. This<br />
5K walk/run will begin<br />
at 7 p.m. at Main Park,<br />
200 S. Locust St. Following<br />
the race will be an<br />
awards ceremony, music<br />
and more. Volunteers are<br />
needed for this year’s 5K<br />

The celebration will<br />
include time trial races<br />
for striders, bikes, scooters<br />
and skateboards on the<br />
new pumptrack. Striders<br />
will be provided by FnA<br />
Bicycles. There will also<br />
be a bicycle safety and obstacle<br />
course. This is a free<br />
event. Frankfort Police<br />
Department will be present<br />
to provide bike safety<br />
information.<br />
Join us at 5 p.m. for<br />
Fourth of July Celebration<br />
and Fireworks Display<br />
at Main Park, 400<br />
W. Nebraska St., for an<br />
evening of family fun including:<br />
giant inflatables;<br />
children’s carnival games;<br />
concessions; a DJ party<br />
from 5:15-7:15 p.m.; and<br />
Rainbow the Clown from<br />
6-8 p.m.<br />
