The event includes a 3.21-mile certified race
through Forest Park. Race amenities include
a race shirt, finisher medal and one wristband
for entry into the Step Up celebration.
Runners can bring family and friends to the
festival for a suggested donation of $25 per

The Gateway City’s 2nd Annual
St. Louis Pen Show, a 3-day event
featuring modern and vintage pens,
classes, stationery, scavenger hunts
for kids of all ages and more, takes
place Friday, June 21 through Sunday,

date: June 9. This is a free event. Attendees
should bring lawn chairs or blankets.

Rockwoods Amazing Race Competition
is from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday,
June 1 at Rockwoods Reservation, 2751
Glencoe Road in Wildwood. Participants
will race along the trails of Rockwoods
Reservation and compete in a variety of
nature and outdoor skills themed contests
to include hiking, archery, nature identification
and more. Teams should consist of
groups or families of two-to-five, ages 9
and up. At least one adult must be present
in each team. Free event but registration is

Chesterfield Parks and Recreation hosts a
Youth Fishing Derby from 9 a.m.-noon on
Saturday, June 1 at Central Park Lake. This
event is free for youth ages 5-15 but limited
to the first 100 participants. A parent or legal
guardian must accompany all kids. Fishing
licenses are not required. Equipment is limited,
so participants should bring their own
rod and reel. Check-in will be at the amphitheater
stage on the day of the Derby.

Tour the Bacon Log Cabin from 2-4
p.m. on Sunday, June 2 at 687 Henry Ave. in
Ballwin. Additional tours will be held from
2-4 p.m. on the first Sunday of September
and October. This historic cabin was built in
1835 and remains on the original site with
one of the last existing root cellars.

Night Waves Middle School Pool Party
is from 8-10 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 at
Manchester Aquatic Center in Schroeder
Park, 359 Old Meramec Station Road in
Manchester. Open to incoming and current
middle schoolers. Enjoy music, and games.
