Maya
& her Daughter
Mamata
Thanks to your shopping, your generosity
and your Gifts of Love, Maya and her
daughter will be able to look forward to a
much brighter future.
Whilst Colin Martin, our Board Chair, was in
Nepal recently, he met Maya and her daughter
Mamata.
Maya felt lost and hopeless when she first
discovered she had leprosy. Her hands became
clawed and she had trouble gripping, and
carrying out even simple everyday chores.
Thank you for making good things happen by
providing Gifts of Love. Because of people like
you, Maya was cured of leprosy and received
reconstructive surgeries on both of her hands.
Read more about their story on page 16 – and
how you can provide reconstructive surgery
for someone like Maya.
