TREATING THE CUSTOMER RIGHT
“I’m very fortunate to have what I consider the best installation
team in the city. They are seasoned and understand how to treat
our customers and jobs,” Tim said. “We’ve been around for almost
50 years and it’s because we’re fair, honest and go above and
beyond for our customers. We want our customers to not only feel
like family, but we want them to feel we treated them like family.
“I believe our customer service sets us apart. We’re not finished
with a job until the customer is 100% satisfied with our work.”
CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
Tim noted, the most difficult part of the business is in the
summertime when they are deluged with calls about non-working
air conditioners. “We try our best to get everyone taken care of
ASAP, but it’s impossible to. I feel for the customers that have
to wait a week or more for a service call or install, but we do our
best to loan out our portable air conditioners until we’re able to
come by.”
Among his favorite experiences is when he is called to fix a
system after service techs from other companies can’t diagnose
the problem. “I can usually find the issue within a few minutes.
It doesn’t always happen like that, but quite often it does. After
replacement or service and the home is comfortable again, the

look on the homeowners’ faces is priceless. It’s all about helping
people out.”
Tim is a board member of the local ACCCO (Air Conditioning
Contractors of Central Ohio) chapter and is active on the state
board, including the Emerging Contractors group whose mission
is to improve the industry for future generations of plumbers and
HVAC Contractors.
“I first joined ACCCO after my grandfather was inducted into the
ACCA Hall of Honor. After several years of being a local member
of the association and having a seat on their board, I then joined
ACCO at the state level. Since becoming a member, I have been
able to see how hard the association works on behalf of the HVAC
world and sets standards for our industry,” Tim said.
“Being a member of ACCO makes me feel like my ideas are
being heard. Aside from the incentives, that truly pay for the
membership itself, I’ve also gained from networking and the
many contractors I’ve met along the way that have given me
advice. I am able to utilize that in my own company to help it run
smoother and more efficiently.”
“Even though we are all competing against each other every day
for all the possible customers, at the end of the day we’re all here
to help the industry and each other. That’s what I like most about
ACCO.
Outside of his job responsibilities, Tim found time to undertake
a kitchen remodel in his house, a complete DIY job, even making
his own cabinets by hand. He also enjoys spending time with his
fiancée, Ashley. They like to travel, spend time with their pets,
continue working on home improvements, and planning their
2020 wedding.
