Front Cover: Students from Amersham School
elcome to the September and
October issue! It’s all about
back-to-school and getting ready
for Autumn.
If you are parents with children receiving
A-level and GCSE results this August, I hope
they got the results they needed. Our school
open day tips (p12) and listings (p14) may help
you decide on the right school for your child.
Thanks to Amersham School for providing my
front cover; the students all look as though
they are having lots of fun! Exercise is so
important in so many ways, and if you want a
challenge why not consider the Gerrards Cross
5km? I’m on the committee organising this
event and know the effort employed arranging
it! (p18)
Lots of community news: congratulations
to Chalfont St Giles for winning Best Kept
Village. Meet the Amersham Market Traders on
p24-26 and Amersham firefighters, who provide
an exceptional service to the area and urgently
need part-time fire-fighters. (p22) We all need
to look after our planet, and Healthright in
Chesham can help us (p27)
Exciting news: in the next issue I will be
launching a new look and name for both
magazines in Amersham & Chalfonts and
Beaconsfield. I feel passionate about the
communities in which we live and my vision is
to help connect as many businesses, charities,
organisations and people together. Look out
for the new name!
Keep safe and see you in November.
