Following an impressive pool of shortlisted nominees and months of careful<br />
research and evaluation by some of the most respected individuals in the<br />
spirits and cocktail industries, the Malta Bar & Cocktail Awards 2019® is<br />
thrilled to announce the introduction and launch of the first edition of these<br />
unique awards. Each of the finalists will be showcased during a gala evening<br />
with an award ceremony in front of a crowd of their peers and supporters.<br />
In addition to the judged winners, the Malta Bar & Cocktail Awards 20199®<br />
shall also award the Lifetime Achievement Award to the deserved winner<br />
on the night. “The Malta Bar & Cocktail Awards 2019® will get more and<br />
more competitive because our industry keeps raising its game every single<br />
year,” said Martin Vella Founder of the Malta Bar & Cocktail Awards 2019®<br />
“Congrats to this year’s nominee finalists and main sponsors on monumental<br />
accomplishment.”<br />
Since being created, the Malta Bar & Cocktail Awards 2019® will grow to<br />
become one of the prestigious and sought-after awards in the industry.<br />
Recognizing writers and brand ambassadors alongside bartenders and<br />
bars, the Awards showcase the talent found throughout every aspect of the<br />
spirits and cocktail environment. Winners will be voted on by two panels<br />
of six industry experts, led by Jean Paul Sammut (Chairperson) and Josef<br />
Bonnici (Writing Committee Chairman). “The Malta Bar & Cocktail Awards<br />
2018® will successfully celebrate excellence in our industry,” said Margaret<br />
Brincat, Director. “I am so thrilled for each nominee as well as all of the<br />
finalists honoured along the way, especially the new bars that have burst on<br />
to the scenes in the last year.” While every award present carries a high level<br />
of prestige, the final award announced is always the most coveted among<br />
nominees. The World’s Best Bar award compiles the gross votes for both<br />
Maltese and International finalists in the following categories: Best High<br />
Volume Cocktail Bar, Best Hotel Bar, Best Restaurant Bar, Best Cocktail Bar or<br />
Malta’s Best Cocktail Menu. From this incredibly competitive pool of finalists,<br />
we shall all be eager to see who shall edge out as the victor, taking home<br />
both the signature Crystal Trophy and the bragging rights of being honoured<br />
as the best in the Malta.<br />
