• ACLU of Wisconsin
As our state affiliate of the national ACLU, the ACLU of Wisconsin has led groundbreaking
work for LGBT rights in Wisconsin, including the 2014 victory for marriage
equality, and a successful lawsuit against the State of Wisconsin for denying healthcare
coverage to transgender employees. With thousands of members across the
state, in every Wisconsin county, the ACLU works to protect and promote the civil
liberties and civil rights of all people in Wisconsin through our state Constitution,
the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. We do this in a non-partisan manner
through litigation, advocacy, and education, and anyone can become a member.
