legal, home buying, financial planning, spiritual, and other referrals are available<br />

upon request.<br />

• Lending Library: The Earl Greely Memorial Library is the largest LGBT library in<br />

Wisconsin. Over 6,000 books, current magazines and newsletters are available with<br />

videos to be added soon. Books may be borrowed for up to 30 days.<br />

• Meeting Space: LGBT organizations and allies are welcome to use the group meeting<br />

room and meeting areas available at OutReach. Call (608) 255-8582 for scheduling<br />

availability or check website.<br />

• Peer Support: Stop by or call (608) 255-8582. Staff and trained volunteers provide<br />

peer support, crisis intervention and support.<br />

• Advocacy: Peer support, information and referrals to service professionals are<br />

available to individuals who experience discrimination or harassment based on their<br />

• Calendar and Guide: A monthly calendar of events and meetings, with organization<br />

telephone numbers is available in print form at several local outlets and at<br />

our new website, www.lgbtdirectory.com. The Calendar and Guide also includes a<br />

resource guide to LGBT and LGBT-friendly businesses and organizations.<br />

• The <strong>Directory</strong>: This popular annual publication of supportive organizations and<br />

businesses, which you are now reading, is the 29th edition of The <strong>Directory</strong>. The<br />

<strong>Directory</strong> has a separate website: www.lgbtdirectory.org.<br />

• Seniors: LGBTQ 50+ Alliance offers several programs to the LGBT senior community,<br />

including quarterly senior social dinners, and regular group meetings. We also<br />

now have a LGBT Senior Advocate staff position that connects LGBT seniors with<br />

existing social service agencies and works to make those agencies LGBT supportive.<br />

• Trans Advocacy: Through our Trans Heath Advocate position we offer educational<br />

services, peer support, and finding resources to help the Trans community. Our partnership<br />

with the Madison Area Transgender Association provides a safe space for<br />

people to come and be who they are, find support, and socialize.<br />

• Educational Services: A tool for facilitating education and dialogue on issues relevant<br />

to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. OutReach sends speakers to<br />

a variety of audiences, including colleges, businesses, service agencies, religious/<br />

spiritual organizations, etc.<br />

• Willma’s Fund provides small grants to people over 18 in Dane County that experience<br />
