Hello & welcome!
Welcome to Amersham & Chalfonts Together,
bringing the community together with local news
and views. We hope you like the new look!
There’s lots of community news in this issue! 10th
November is Remembrance Sunday: read how you
can remember loved ones and share them with the
community. Mimi Hawker 0BE organised a fantastic
event on Silver Sunday (p20) Amersham has the
go ahead for a chiltern lifestyle centre and whilst
it’s being built the library has a temporary home (p8).
See p30 for ‘What’s On over Christmas’, p34 for
pantomimes in the area and if you’re looking for a
special New Year’s Eve party, Stoke Park Club looks
stunning (p3).
If money were no object, I would buy my son a grand
piano (p29) because ‘music is the food of love’, which
brings me onto our festive dining pages. We sample
the new menu from The Giggling Squid (p16), and
our festive dining recommendations may give you
some inspiration.
