Trained staff engage kids with everything from homework help to games and art projects. In mixed-age classrooms, children experience interactive learning in an environment carefully prepared by an educator who is aware of each child’s needs and abilities. Kinderdance Ballet/Tap 40 Week Session Wednesday, Saturday Y-member: $40/month Non-member: $80/month Each class will start with a warmup and stretch. Half the class will be learning the technique, terminology, and feet/arm positions of ballet. The second half of class will be tap where the students will work on musicality and learning and exploring tap movements. Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers and black tap shoes required. A holiday and spring recital will be held. Information on recitals and costume fees will be emailed to parents. Monthly payment plan is available. Ages: 5-7 96973 Dance Studio 1 4:30pm to 5:15pm Wed, Sep 4, 2019 - Wed, Jun 3, 2020 96974 Dance Studio 2 9am to 9:45am Sat, Sep 7, 2019 - Sat, Jun 6, 2020 Modern/Lyrical 1 38 Week Session Tuesday Y-member: $45/month Non-member: $90/month Modern/lyrical is more creative and less strict than ballet, while still working on dance technique, strength, flexibility, and musicality. Class will start with a warmup to work on technique and flexibility. The class will move to center and across the floor work to explore different types of movements while maintaining technique. The class will end working on a combination that puts modern and lyrical together as a whole dance. Modern and lyrical are very well-rounded forms of dance that fully explores dance as a whole. Students will work to achieve a full split. Black yoga/stretch pants and black jazz shoes or ballet slippers required. A holiday and spring recital will be held.
