Swim Lessons STRONG SWIMMERS CONFIDENT SWIMMERS All ages— from infants to seniors— can learn to swim. Nurturing skills and building confidence in the water The YMCA has been America’s leading swim instructor for more than 100 years and is the most accessible community resource for swim lessons and water safety. The YMCA teaches youth, teens and adults to swim so they can stay safe around water. Progressive swimming lessons at the YMCA teach swimming skills, stroke technique and water safety, while encouraging a lifelong love of the water. Also, our nationally-recognized competitive swim teams develop strong swimmers and even better leaders. Y swim instructors are nationally certified. Their training includes CPR, AED, First Aid and Oxygen Administration. 1 2 3 Additional class times In addition to the listings in this guide other swim lesson class days and times may be available. Karate (ages 12+) Beginner Tuesday and Thursday Y-member: $85 Non-member: $130 Presented by the Phila. School of Korean Karate from beginner to Black Belt. This class incorporates a traditional Korean Karate (Tae Kwon Do) program along with Self-Defense Techniques. Students build flexibility, strength, conditioning and improved concentration. Students can test for belt advancement in class. Additional testing fees apply. All instructors are certified Black Belts by the International Martial Arts Assoc/PSKK.
