Resist Temptation
The minute you become a follower of Jesus, you need
to understand that spiritual battle will be levelled
against you and even though we know how it all ends,
Jesus wins, the battles, trials and temptation you will
face will be real! Satan will attempt to tempt you and
derail your walk with Christ. He will try to tempt you to
disobey God’s word and ultimately draw you away
from Christ.
In Ephesians 6: 12, Paul warns us as followers of Christ
to be aware of the real nature of our enemy and the
nature of the battle we will face as believers,” For we
are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but
against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world,
against mighty powers in this dark world, and against
evil spirits in the heavenly places.”
However, he also reminds us that even though we
face a powerful enemy, our enemy is nothing
compared to the mighty God we serve. Not only are
we victorious to Jesus Christ but in 2 Corinthians 10:4,
Paul reminds believers that “the weapons of our
