remained in the safety of the boat, Peter was willing to
risk it all at the word of his Saviour - Peter trusted
absolutely in the one he risked it all for.
Even though Peter did not completely walk to Christ on
the water, the few steps he took upon the waters
towards his Saviour before he began to sink, gave him a
different revelation of this all-powerful Christ.
A revelation that comes from not mere observation, as
was the case of the other disciples that remained in the
boat, and lacked the courage Peter had.
Unlike the disciples who remained in
the safety of the boat, Peter was
willing to risk it all at the word of his
Saviour
The revelation Peter had of Jesus was a revelation that
only comes when a person puts themselves completely
at God’s mercy and His providence, when they set
aside all dependence upon themselves, their resources
and others, when they launch out into the deep with
