Mandilas, NNPC partner on quick-service centre<br />

in Abuja, Lagos, others<br />

DETERMINED to take its<br />

services to the door steps<br />

of its numerous customers,<br />

Mandilas Motors in conjunction<br />

with the retail arm of the Nigerian<br />

National Petroleum Corporation,<br />

NNPC, has entered into<br />

partnership on quick service<br />

centres across the country. The<br />

two organisations recently<br />

unveiled a quick service centre in<br />

Abuja and Lagos, while<br />

promising that more would be<br />

opened in other parts of the<br />

country.<br />

This is as the count-down<br />

begins to next year’s Mandilas’<br />

70th anniversary of doing<br />

business and providing services<br />

in Nigeria. The Group has<br />

reiterated its commitment to the<br />

economy and its teeming<br />

customers. Mandilas was recently<br />

decorated with the best workshop<br />

of the year <strong>by</strong> the Nigeria Auto<br />

Journalists Association for its<br />

outstanding service deliveries to<br />

its customers.<br />

The management also affirmed<br />

that as part of the ongoing<br />

restructuring strides, it was<br />

making efforts to ensure that its<br />

products and services, especially<br />

in the Motors’ Division, were<br />

brought closer to the customers to<br />

ensure they enjoyed motoring<br />

with ease.<br />

This came to the fore recently<br />

when Mandilas Group Ltd and<br />

the retail arm of the Nigerian<br />

National Petroleum Corporation,<br />

the NNPC Retail Limited,<br />

consummated a new partnership<br />

with the opening of an ultramodern<br />

Quick-Service Centre in<br />

Abuja. The partnership which is<br />

set to transform the automotive<br />

aftermarket, will lead to the<br />

opening of more of such centres<br />

in other parts of the country.<br />

During the inauguration of the<br />

first nationwide network of Quick<br />

Service Centres at the NNPC<br />

Mega Petrol Station on Olusegun<br />

Obasanjo Way, Zone 1, Abuja,<br />

Mandilas pledged to provide the<br />

best of after-sales service and<br />

maintenance for vehicle owners<br />

in the Federal Capital Territory.<br />

Not surprisingly, NNPC top<br />

officials at the event disclosed that<br />

Mandilas,was selected for the<br />

partnership after a rigorous<br />

research for a top notch auto aftersales<br />

service provider.<br />

In his remarks, Managing<br />

Director of NNPC Retail Limited,<br />

Sir Billy Okoye, called on<br />

Nigerians to enjoy the efficient<br />

services offered <strong>by</strong> the wellequipped<br />

NNPC/Mandilas<br />

Service Centre. Okoye said the<br />

service centre was strategically<br />

located to provide quick and<br />

efficient service for automobile<br />

users within Abuja.<br />

Debayo-Doherty, stated that<br />

TOYOTA Corolla, the most<br />

decorated car in Nigeria<br />

has regained the Nigerian Car<br />

of the Year title, three years after<br />

losing the title consecutively<br />

to Kia Rio, Nissan Almera<br />

and Hyundai Creta. Corolla<br />

bounced back with a new design<br />

and complete make-over<br />

which made it very visible on<br />

the road.<br />

It was a celebration galore <strong>by</strong><br />

leading auto brands, lubricants<br />

brands in the country as the<br />

Nigeria Auto Journalists Association,<br />

NAJA, recently presented<br />

different categories of<br />

awards to deserving winners at<br />

the Eko Hotels, Victoria Island,<br />

Lagos.<br />

The award night which had<br />

the representatives of the Director<br />

General of the National<br />

Automotive Design and Development<br />

Council, NADDC,<br />

Aliyu Jelani, and representative<br />

of the Corp Marshal of the<br />

Federal Roads Safety Corps,<br />

FRSC, as special guests was<br />

well attended <strong>by</strong> many Chief<br />

Executive Officers and other<br />

stakeholders in the nation’s<br />

automotive sector.<br />

NAJA Awards<br />

‘the best assembler and<br />

Car of the Year’. Hyundai was<br />

chosen as the “The highest selling<br />

new, yet the formidable player<br />

Changan was awarded the<br />

“Fastest Emerging brand of the<br />
