On 21.11.2019 a Workshop on Quality Accreditation and Patient Safety along with exhibition stalls
for outside hospital personnel was conducted in C-block Auditorium and in Basement-1 where 85
delegates attended the workshop. 67 delegates were from outside hospitals like Aster CMI hospital
& NU Hospitals, Bangalore, A.J. hospital, Mangalore, Govt. Tribal Specialty Hospital, Attappady,
Matria Hospital, Calicut, Nirmala Hospital, Calicut, Moonniyoor Nursing Home, Chemmad,
Malappuram, MVR Cancer Centre, Calicut, West fort Hospital. Thrissur, KIMS Al-Shifa Hospital,
Perinthalmanna, Rivershore Hospital, Poonnur, Meitra Hospital, Calicut, Santhi Hospital,
Omassery, Little flower hospital, Angamaly, Ernakulam, Iqraa Hospital, Calicut, Malabar Medical
College, Ulliyeri, Aster MIMS Kottakal, Malabar Hospital, Eranhipalam and Aster MIMS, Calicut.
19 delegates (4 Faculties and 15 M.Sc Nursing Students) were from our BMH College of Nursing.
7 fully fledged exhibition stalls were arranged in the basement-1 for the delegates based on the
sessions taken on patient safety and Risk Assessment by Mrs. Gracy Mathai, CEO. The exhibition
th
stalls were prepared as per the 10 Chapters of NABH 4 edition requirements and covered all
elements of patient safety and Risk.
An online quiz programme was conducted by Dr.Bejoy Johnson, Data Analytics and Mr.Saji
Mathew, Chief Operating Officer (Chief of HR and IT) for the delegates based on the exhibition
stalls and the delegate who answered the more number was questions was awarded a prize.
The feedback regarding the workshop was collected from all the delegates and the response was
overwhelming and everyone appreciated the event.
Valedictory session held on 22.11.19 chaired by Dr. KG Alexander, CMD. Mrs. Gracy Mathai, CEO
welcomed the gathering and gave a brief report of all the events that had taken place this year.
Felicitation speeches were delivered by Dr. T.P Joseph, Sr. Consultant and Paediatric Surgeon and
Dr. R. Krishnan, Sr. Consultant- Internal Medicine. Prize distribution for all the winners were done
by the dignitaries on and off the dais.
A skit was performed by various staff members of the BMH family which included doctors, nurses,
paramedical and administrative staff which was enjoyed and well appreciated by the audience.
Prize as a token of Appreciation for their outstanding efforts in Helping Quality Department
throughout the year was given to Mr. Prasanth (Audiovisual) & Mr. Kamal .K (Marketing) by the
Chairman and Managing Director.
Mr. Santhosh B, Manager Quality proposed the vote of thanks.
The effort from all staffs for the quality week programmes is well appreciated as even in their busy
schedule they managed to come up with commendable performances. It was a great success.
