MR. TONY BACIGALUPO
Athletic Director Tony Bacigalupo was
recently designated as a Certified Athletic
Administrator (CAA) by the National
Interscholastic Athletic Administrators
Association (NIAAA). The CAA
designation recognizes and incorporates
the professional development
opportunities provided through the
NIAAA’s Leadership Training Institute.
The attainment of professional certification demonstrates
the completion of a comprehensive plan for selfimprovement
that will enhance the ability of the athletic
administrator to better serve the school, community and
profession. Mr. Bacigalupo is currently in his 4th year as
Athletic Director at Covington Catholic. During his tenure
as AD, the Colonels have won three state championships
(2015 Soccer, 2017 Football and 2018 Basketball) as well
as four state runner-ups (2016 Soccer, 2016 and 2017
Swimming, and 2018 Football). In 2018, he was a finalist for
the Greater Cincinnati Athletic Director of the Year award.
Currently, Tony serves as the president of the Northern
Kentucky Athletic Conference.
Congratulations to Jack Coldiron
winner of the Brian Williams That’s My
Boy Award as well as the LaRosa’s MVP
Featured Athlete of the Week honors.
The LaRosa’s award wrote: “Senior
Jack Coldiron is a multi-sport all-star
at Covington Catholic High School.
A three-year varsity baseball player
at first base, outfield and designated
hitter, Jack is a preseason all-state
selection. He accumulated impressive
stats his junior year. He hit.464, with
nine doubles, three home runs, 52 hits,
33 RBI, 25 base on balls and 16 stolen
bases. He helped lead the team to a 26-

11 record, a district title and a regional
runner-up finish.
Jack has earned numerous baseball
honors, including last year when he was
named NKAC Div. I Player of the Year,
1st team all-NKY (Enquirer) and 2nd
team all-state. He was also selected to
play in the Kentucky state Junior All-
Star Game.
In football as a wide receiver and
linebacker, Jack holds the school
record with 20 TD career receptions.
His senior season, Jack had eight TD
receptions and helped lead the Colonels
to a 14-1 record and a Ky. Class 5A state
runner-up finish.

sack and an
interception.

finished with a
15-0 record for
the first time in
school history.
His many senior year football awards
included being named 1st team all-
NKY (Enquirer), 1st team all-district, 1st
team all-state and 2nd team All-USA
Today-Kentucky. He was also named
by the National Football Foundation as
the “That’s My Boy” Award winner for
Northern Kentucky.
He also had a great junior season,
helping the Colonels claim the
Kentucky Class 5A state championship.
He caught 27 passes for 683 yards and
a team-high 11 touchdowns. On defense

Jack will play football collegiately at
Miami University in Oxford.
