Hello Readers,

Primary Times is independently published and distributed free through national primary schools in Birmingham & Black

Country. It aims to inform families and children about current educational issues, forthcoming events, courses, attractions

and to give teachers, pupils and parents the opportunity to participate in the magazine by adding to its contents or by

joining in the competitions. It is NOT our intention to publish any racist, sexist or politically based material whatsoever.

We also undertake not to carry any advertising which we would consider to be offensive to young families or harmful to

the best interests of young children. Primary Times would like to thank all the schools in Birmingham & Black Country for

their assistance in distributing the magazine and for their contributions to its contents. We would also like to thank all the

advertisers who have supported this publication and therefore made it possible. Please support their endeavours when

and where you can. The copyright on all written material, logos and advertising artwork produced by our studio remains

with Primary Times or with the relevant contributor. Primary Times is currently publishing over 2 million copies per issue

under franchise licences throughout Britain.

Welcome to our first edition for 2020!

We love this time of year at Primary Times, with Spring just

around the corner and lots of great activities to look forward to as

the year progresses. Already we are getting news about holiday

activities, some of which begin in the February half term and you

can see in our WOW and pinboard.

As regular readers will know, we always include information from

our local theatres and a selection of activities around the county

in our WOW pages, which you can enjoy as a family. There

are so many to choose from, it’s not possible to include them

all in our magazine but you can see more on our website www.

primarytimes.co.uk While you’re looking, why not enter some of

our fabulous competitions too?

We’re supporting the Brain Tumour Research charity again this

year, which is very popular with schools and especially with

families who have been affected by this terrible disease. So

please do join in the ‘Wear A Hat Day’ on the Friday 27th March if

you can – we’ll all be wearing ours!

We’ll be back with our Easter edition on 23rd March well before

the Easter holiday, so you can plan your activities for the longer

days and warmer weather.
