Marist High School
Students from Orland Park named to
honor roll, dean’s list
Marist High School recently announced
the names of those who earned
honors in the first semester of Marist
High School’s 2019-2020 academic year.
Those who made the dean’s list are
students who earned a GPA of 5.0 or better.
Those students who received honors
earned a GPA of 4.5 to 4.9 out of a 5.0.

Providence Catholic High School
Two from Orland Park named Students
of the Month
Dr. John Harper, principal of Providence
Catholic High School, recently
announced the school’s “Students of the
Month” for December.
Every month, each academic department
chairperson selects one student as
its “Student of the Month” from a number
of students nominated by faculty and
staff. Students of the Month receive a
certificate of recognition, have their photos
displayed in Providence Catholic’s
main hallway for the following month
and are invited to a special luncheon.
Among those named December Students
of the Month were Orland Parkers
Sophia Wilko and Ella Coyle.
Bradley University
Three students from Orland Park receive
degrees
Bradley University recently announced
nearly 300 students who received their
academic degrees in December.
Among them: Lindsay Kozlowski, of
Orland Park, graduated with a major in
music education instrumental; Amanda
DeVos, of Orland Park, graduated with
a major in mechanical engineering biomedical
engineering; and Raven Elias,
of Orland Park, graduated with a major
in community wellness.
Carthage College
Students from Orland Park among those
on dean’s list
More than 900 students have been
named to the Carthage College dean’s
list for the fall 2019 semester. Dean’s list
honors are accorded to Carthage students
who achieve a minimum 3.5 grade-point
average while carrying at least 14 credit
hours during a semester.
Among those named to the list are the
following students from Orland Park:
Destiny Antoine, Jillian Schirmacher,
Jacob Simonek and Hanna Tacker.
McKendree University
President’s list names Orland Park
resident among honorees
Madelyn Vacha, of Orland Park, was
named to the McKendree University
president’s list for achieving a perfect
4.0 grade point average as a senior during
the fall 2019 semester.
