Local business investment is
helping to make Streatham a
better place to live, work, visit
and do business.
Over the last year we have seen
both the Government and the media
recognise the important role that local
businesses have in our communities.
Not only do our high roads offer retail
and leisure opportunities but they act
as important hubs that facilitate opportunities
for people to meet, share and
connect.
Luckily for us, on top of paying their
business rates, over 500 Streatham
businesses choose to pay an additional
levy which funds InStreatham, a not
for profit organisation, that has been
making Streatham the best it can be at
the heart of its operations. Everything
we deliver is additional to the local
council and you can learn more about
what this business investment has done
for your town over the last year below.
It’s been proven that by shifting a
portion of your spending to independent
locally-owned businesses, you can
have a big effect on your local economy
delivering benefits such as creating
local jobs, improving the quality of the
offering and boosting investment.
