Brixton Bulls

gear up for
new season
Brixton Bulls rugby League
Club are preparing for the new
season. the club is one of the
fastest growing rugby clubs in
London and was awarded joint
Community Club of the Year
by the London rugby League
Foundation in 2018.
The Bulls enter their 5th season
with men’s open age teams and
for the second year running, will
be entering two teams, meaning
more game time for all. the
first-grade play in the Southern
Conference League, the 4th tier
of rugby league in the UK, and
the top level for amateur teams
in the south east. the second
team compete in the London
men’s Premier League and
made the semi-finals of their
league last year.
training is at midday near the
Lido in Brockwell Park. sessions
are open to all abilities and
are run by Kieran robertson,
who coaches at London›s
professional club, the London
Broncos. Both teams will play 12
matches during their season,
starting in april.
meanwhile, the minis/Juniors
are holding an Open Day for
new players at 10.30am on
14th march at Woodmansterne
school, streatham. the mini
Bulls have been training hard
through the Winter and are
recruiting new players ahead
of the summer when they will
play in regular festivals against
clubs across London. there are
teams/players for boys and girls
from Reception to Year 9 and
all are welcome, no experience
required.
