What a wonderful event this was for the community!
Trees made from bottle tops, paper cups,
knitting needles; trees decorated with bridal
fabrics, campfires and eyeballs; trees for
everyone to write prayers for those who have
been born, were married or have been lost to
us.
The Primary School made a supreme effort with
a tree of prayer baubles. Each child had written
a personal prayer displayed on their tree and
offered the opportunity for everyone to add their
own. The tree
was full!
We enjoyed
wonderful
entertainment
from the Women’s Singstitute, the Market Rasen
Ukulele band and Da Capo folk group.
There were, of course, delicious refreshments to
enjoy in the Church Rooms.
Each tree entrant received a certificate in
recognition of their participation. Visitors were
asked to vote for their favourite tree in Adult and
Children’s categories. Rosettes were awarded to:
The winner of the adult category - D Johnson and
sons.
The winner of the children's category - Rainbows.
A fun quiz of seasonal anagrams was won by Sue
and Willy Johnson. The whole event was capped
