PINK PUNCH
This pink dining room is a standout in the
Housetrends archives. This Oakwood home
was built in 1954 for a prominent Dayton
businessman, Charles Schook. New owners,
who bought the house in the mid-90s, were
careful to preserve its midcentury style.
INTO THE
WOODS
On 10 acres in Oakwood, this house
with 7,500 square feet of warm,
comfortable living space, sprang
from the homeowner’s fondness
for Colorado. In the kitchen, natural
cherry cabinets placed beneath
a soaring ceiling punctuated by
wooden trestles create an expansive,
yet inviting, space. »
