Datable to 1794-1795<br />

It is a first impression – with variations – for<br />

the fresco conserved in the Brera Pinacoteca.<br />

Together with another painting of the<br />

same measurements depicting Apollo and<br />

Hyacinth, it was acquired from the heirs of<br />

the painter by Duke Litta Modigliani.<br />
